Uninstall the Lenovo Patch Plugin

Purpose

Detail the process for uninstalling the Lenovo Patch plugin from a device with the Configuration Manager console.

Process

The Lenovo Updates Catalog provides update data for the following product lines:

  1. Backup the Lenovo Patch Database. Refer to the contents of the C:\ProgramData\Lenovo\Lenovo Patch\ConnectionSettings\ConnectionSettings.config file for the Data Source as the database server name and the Initial Catalog as the database name.
  2. Backup the C:\ProgramData\Lenovo\Lenovo Patch\ConnectionSettings\ConnectionSettings.config file.
  3. Uninstall the Lenovo Patch plugin from Programs and Features / Apps and Features.
  4. Delete the C:\Users\USERNAME\Lenovo\Lenovo Patch\ folder from each user account on the device.
  5. Delete the C:\ProgramData\Lenovo\Lenovo Patch\ folder.
  6. Back up the registry.
  7. Delete the following registry keys:
    • HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Installer\UserData\S 1 5 18\Components\2D4D8347E52FE94518115A91BD9F5D3F
    • HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Installer\UserData\S 1 5 18\Components\A04FF52B0811B3A4CB9490DE731F14AF
    • HKLM\SOFTWARE\Classes\Installer\UpgradeCodes\97CF06FC73597A048B87AA3BDAD32C36
