Getting Started with ThinkShield BuildAssure

ThinkShield BuildAssure Web Portal Home Page

The ThinkShield BuildAssure Web Portal Home page provides users with the ability to download BuildAssure files for individual or multiple devices. Additionally, the Download Center on the portal enables users to access the BuildAssure Client tools.

Accessing the portal

  1. Login to  https://portal.tsc.trustauthority.intel.com/
  2. In the Service Catalogue, select Transparent Supply Chain.
  3. The Home page allows users to download Build Assure data files for individual or multiple devices.
  4. In the Download Center, users can access and download the BuildAssure tools.

Registering a New User Account

New users seeking access should contact Lenovo Support at thinkshield@lenovocoudsoftware.com to request an account. Once Lenovo Support sets up the account, the user will receive a Welcome Email from Intel Transparent Supply Chain, containing a link to launch the platform.


Upon your first login, a dialog box will appear prompting you to acknowledge the Commercial Terms and Service AgreementClick Continue after reviewing the terms and conditions.


You will be directed to Intel Trust Authority Trust Services Catalog page.


Click the MANAGE SERVICE button under Transparent Supply Chain, to access the Intel Transparent Supply Chain Home page.


Downloading ThinkShield BuildAssure Files for a Single Device

  1. Select Single Device under the How many devices? section.
  2. Enter the device's serial number in the field below.
  3. Click Return.

A. If the device number is available
:
  1. A success banner stating Success!" Click on download certificate will be displayed at the top of the page.
  2. Below the Submit button, you will see the download dashboard displaying the Serial Number and available Actions.
  3. Click on the Download Certificate link below Actions. 

  1. The download is a ZIP file containing the ThinkShield BuildAssure files, including the device’s certificate. For example: certificate_1_20241022_224045.
B. If the serial number is not available
  1. An error banner stating Serial not found will be displayed at the top of the page. 
  2. This indicates that the requested Serial Number is not available for download.

Downloading ThinkShield BuildAssure Files for multiple devices

To request multiple devices, a CSV (comma-separated values) file containing the list of all device serial numbers must be generated for upload. Below is an example of an Excel spreadsheet with five serial numbers. 


To download the ThinkShield BuildAssure files for multiple devices:
1. Select Multiple devices under How many devices? section.
2. Click Upload CSV file button to upload the serial_number.csv file. 



A. If the device number is available:
  1. A success banner stating Success! Click on download certificate will be displayed at the top of the page.
  2. Below the Submit button, you will see the download dashboard which displays the following information:
    1. Quantity of serial numbers requested
    2. Quantity of serial numbers found
    3. Quantity of missing serial numbers
    4. Quantity of duplicate serial numbers
    5. Available actions.
  1. Click the Download certificate link below Actions.

  1. The download is a ZIP file containing the ThinkShield BuildAssure files, including the device’s certificate. For example: certificate_68_20241022_224045
B. If a serial number is not available or if it is duplicated:
  1. If there are missing or duplicated serial numbers, the download dashboard will display:
    1. Quantity of serial numbers not found.
    2. Quantity of missing serial numbers.
    3. Quantity of duplicate serial numbers.

  1. The download is a ZIP file containing the ThinkShield BuildAssure files that were found including the device’s Certificate. For example: certificate_66_20241022_224045.
