Symptom

Software Center or the Deployment has an error code: 0x87D00669
Error code resolves to message: Not able to get software updates content locations at this time

Cause

The software update content is not on a distribution point that the endpoint has access to.

Resolution

Ensure the Software Update content has been successfully downloaded to the Software Update Deployment Package. Ensure the Software Update Deployment Package has been successfully distributed to the Distribution Point(s). If adding new Software Update content to an existing Software Update Deployment Package, an administrator may need to initiate an update of the Distribution Points to ensure the content is in the correct locations.
