Downloading and Installing Cigent

There are two types of installation packages available. The executable (EXE) is a user interactive
Installation suitable for manual installations, while the Microsoft Standard Installer (MSI) is designed for remote deployments and does not require user interaction. In this article we will focus on using the Executable (EXE) for installation.

To download and install Cigent:
  1. Navigate to https://lenovocentral.cigent.com.
  2. Enter your email and password to log in.
  3. From the menu on the left pane, select Downloads.
  4. Click the Data Defense (EXE) link to download the installer to your system.
  5. Once the installer is downloaded, check the boxes to accept the Terms of Use, Privacy and License Agreement of Lenovo.
  6. Click Install to begin the installation. 
  7. When the installation is complete, click Finish.
  8. Click Finish to complete the installation.
