Creating an API key

Create an API key to allow external integrations to send data to SentinelOne. After the key is generated, use it when configuring the integration.

Prerequisites

Before creating an API key, ensure the following requirements are met.

Requirement Details

  1. Console access: Access to the SentinelOne Management Console.
  2. Permissions: SentinelOne Administrator permissions for the Site or Account where the integration data will be written and displayed.

Create an API key

  1. Sign in to the SentinelOne Management Console. 
  2. Go to Policies & Settings > AI SIEM. 
  3. Select API Keys. 
  4. Click New Write Key. 
  5. Generate the API key. 
  6. Copy the API key. 
  7. Store the API key in a secure location. 
  8. The API key is ready to use when configuring an external integration.
Notes
The API key is required when configuring external integrations that write data to SentinelOne.
Warning
Store the API key securely. If the key is lost or compromised, generate a new key and update any integrations that use it.
