Configuring the Local Source Folder

Purpose

This article provides instructions on how to configure the Local Source folder in Lenovo Patch. An administrator may configure the Local Source folder as a means to store update content, whether it be for an archive of previous update content, the location for manually downloaded files, or for providing content to an completely air gapped installation.

Process

  1. In the console, navigate to 'Software Library' > 'Overview' > 'Software Updates' > 'Lenovo Patch' > 'Updates'
  2. Click the 'Settings' button.
  3. On the left, click the 'Offline Options' tab.
  4. Check the 'Use a local source folder.' checkbox.
  5. In the textbox, enter the UNC path to the location to store the update content. Use the Browse button to locate the location if needed.
  6. In the event there is a requirement to store updates for archival or to prepare for relocation to an air gapped network, check the 'Place all updates downloaded during publication into the local source folder.' checkbox.
