Configuring Required Software Update Classifications

Purpose

Define the appropriate software update classifications to enable in the site

Process

  1. In the console, navigate to 'Administration' > 'Overview' > 'Site Configuration' > 'Sites'
  2. Select then right click the Site.
  3. From the context menu, expand 'Configure Site Components' and select 'Software Update Point'.
  4. In the 'Software Update Point Component Properties' window, click the 'Classifications' tab.
  5. Ensure the following selections have check marks beside them.
    • Security Updates ( - required to utilize updates from the 'Third Party Applications' catalog available in Lenovo Patch.)
    • Updates ( - required to utilize updates from the 'Lenovo Updates' catalog available in Lenovo Patch.)
